Remarkable aromas of dark chocolate, figs, plum, cocoa, loam and dried currant. Dark color, robust and powerful revealing flavors of dark fruit, red currant and wild spice berries before soft tannins play into a rich, long lasting finish.

This vintage did not see a lot of rain, but was overall a moderate growing season. Light rain during bloom lowered crop levels, but the berries that remained were concentrated giving this wine fantastic aromas of peach, tangerine, apricot and honeysuckle that move into a refreshing palate with grapefruit, pear and a just a hint of anise.  A heat spike during August slowed down the ripening of the grapes leaving this vintage round and lean, but then focusing with a refreshing acidity that elevates the flavors.
