An outstanding wine for its density, complexity, and balance, deep dark color, offering aromas of dark sweet cherry, dark chocolate, cassis, and dry rose petals. On the palate, the wine is opulent and fleshy with flavors of macerated berries accompanied by well-integrated acidity, and an everlasting finish. A wine that can be aged for decades.

This was an excellent vintage that grew a bountiful crop with great structure. The March miracle left the soil with plenty of moisture to support the plants through the end of May. The long, warm summer saw very few extreme heat events, allowing fruit to set the stage for vibrant and expressive flavors. The long, relatively mild finish to the season helped preserve the freshness and finesse with abundant hang time providing great color and soft tannins.
