This wine displays aromas of rich raspberry, ripe plum, redcurrant, and pomegranate. On the bright yet structured palate, notes of violet and spice add definition to elegant flavors of red and dark fruit. Firm tannins carry to a beautifully structured finish.

This vintage started with very frosty spring weather followed by a “March miracle” rain event which saved the vines from the drought. The wet weather helped produce many small berries which resulted in lower yields but allowed for excellent grape structure and more flavor concentration.
